Maybe I was a little overzealous with how many books I brought with me to read for a weeklong vacation, but I’m already 3 books in…so then again maybe not!
Three weeks until I’m back sitting on the beach with a drink and spicy romance books 🙈Goodreads

As you all know, I was on a spicy, steamy, smut kick.
I’m still blaming A Court of Silver Flames.
I’m still kind of on it, but I’ve moved back into YA for a moment – there are a few books I’ve been meaning to read, and I do need a little bit of a break.
This series has been on my radar for a while now – the first book sat in my “Saved For Later” Amazon cart for months. After having read the Seraphim Academy series by Elizabeth Briggs and learning that I’m not so opposed to Reverse Harem stories as I thought I was – I opted to give the first book a try.
Then suddenly I was 5 books and a novella in and didn’t know what to do with my life. I’ll be honest – I inhaled these so quickly (like, 1-2 a day) that I don’t remember much. I don’t remember exact events that happened within each book. They all just kind of melded together.
Overall, I enjoyed this series. I loved the character development the most – because Willa, the MC, was damn annoying in the first book.
The plot picked up as well and I’m not upset with how everything came together in the end. I liked the lore and history the author created the pantheon of gods – really this book has a bunch of my favorite fantasy elements – so of course I enjoyed it.
I will say that the 5 brother love interests were fantastic, but I did find them to be overwhelming by the end. At the beginning I was kind of love struck and the idea that five guys could be infatuated and intrigued by one girl and willing to share her was enticing. And don’t get me wrong – I did love the brothers, they’re fantastic characters with fairly decent character development. But by the last book – despite their love – I was suddenly not so enamored with the idea of five guys. Too much. Also, the “brother” aspect got to me as well.
If you’re looking for something to just get lost in, no pressure, easy read with some steamy spice, then I definitely recommend checking this series out. It definitely gets better the further you read into the series.

Willa Knight: Dweller. Slave. Non-magical being.
In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.
At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world—a position that she definitely did not earn.
Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it.Either way, she is in trouble.
This has been on my radar/TBR for a while now. I kept oscillating back and forth between buying it in eBook and in physical – I wasn’t sure what format I wanted it in. And being in a mood for some spicy, steamy smut, this fit the bill. Also, after reading the Seraphim Academy, I was also kind of in the mood for another RH series. I seriously never would have pegged myself as someone who enjoyed RH books, but here we are lol.
Not going to lie, Willa is fucking annoying in this book. The whole incredibly clumsy thing was irritating. But I’m not going to lie – the idea of 5 brothers…I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.
The introduction of the Abcurses is great and individually I really like them. Arrogant, boastful, morally grey in some regards and more than happy to treat everyone beneath them like dolls.

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings?
In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth—something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on.
So it definitely shouldn’t be new … but it is.
Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before.Things are starting to get …chaotic.
I started this the moment I finished the first book. I needed to know what happened next. I inhaled book one and
Oh boy – stuff happens in this book. Willa is a mess – prior to her partnering up with the Abcurses, I honestly don’t understand how Emmy kept her alive. She’s a mess. She’s chaotic and so much is happening. The fact that Willa is claimed by 5 Very Powerful Brothers – they all share a connection and chaos is starting to trickle through Blesswood – it’s amazing and wholly addicting. I inhaled this book, just like I did the first one.

Willa Knight: Dweller? Sol? Accidental evolutionary hiccup?
Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshipping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules—but none of that matters anymore.
The rules are changing.
The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out—until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead. But, really, what else is new?
Aros might be my favorite of the brothers – idk. I love how tender he is with Willa. I love how once she entered their lives; everything just gets upended. It’s lowkey equal parts hysterical and annoying. Willa is still incredibly accident prone and almost ditzy and it’s honestly a bit aggravating. The fact that the brothers treat her like a doll is also lowkey hysterical and annoying. Things are starting to happen; the plot is picking up and shit is definitely about to go down. I can’t seem to stop reading though. The minute I finish one book, I have to start the next.

Willa Knight: Dead? Alive? Damned to a state of eternal bad luck?
Willa and the Abcurse brothers are back, and more determined than ever to stick by each other. Unfortunately, Staviti has other plans, plans that threaten to change the natural order of the worlds—though nobody really understands why. His agenda may very well affect all beings on Minatsol, even those that thought themselves safe in Topia. Even Willa-invincible-Knight.
Unsure with her new place in the worlds, Willa must follow the Abcurses to their new post: Champions Peak, a secluded mountain far from civilization, where the most powerful sols have been summoned to hone their abilities through direct contact with the gods.
There is a chance that she might survive her time on the mountain, but it seems like staying alive amidst the powerful occupants of the Peak is the least of her concerns.
Her real problem is staying on the mountain at all.
The plot is really under way, Willa is finally acting more like a semi-capable being and not just some accident-prone ditz and it’s beyond refreshing. Her relationship with the Brothers is omfg, steamy spice – and the more tender moments are wonderful. I love that she changed their whole world. Things are happening, secrets are revealed, and the Gods are stirring. War is coming and it’s not going to be forgiving.

Sometimes, the end is only the beginning.
Emmy was born a dweller and she expected to die as a dweller … until Willa changed everything. Now she has no idea of her path, and she certainly wasn’t prepared for what would happen after her death. Caught in the middle of a war that threatened to prove much more significant than anyone had ever expected, there is only one person who can help her … but his terms are steep.
Cyrus was born out of necessity: a being of light, brought to life with a singular purpose. Time has changed him and the recent events have unsettled him … but a certain transformed dweller is about to do much worse than that. She is about to turn his existence upside down.Topia is giving them no choice: they survive together, or the war is lost.
I kind of want a whole series about Cyrus and Emmy now. Cyrus is legit one of my favorite characters in this series – I love his judgmental, moody ass. He’s so condescending and arrogant, but it’s somehow endearing. I’m also an absolute sucker for a male character who can’t understand why he’s so interested in a girl, and why that girl has such power over him. Emmy is also really great, and I love how she wields power like she’s always had it – she has Cyrus under her thumb and it’s amazing.

Willa Knight: The saviour of both worlds, or the destruction of everything?
Sometimes history lies, and the tales of Minatsol and Topia are no different. Since the birth of Topia, Staviti has woven a web of deceit around the truth of Creation, striving only to maintain his power while destroying anything that gets in his way. Now, Willa and the Abcurses are determined to strip back the layers, to uncover the truth, and to understand the true nature of the two worlds before it’s too late.
The only problem?
Any wrong step in their quest to restore balance might have terrible repercussions. Every single being—living or dead—might have to pay the price.
This was ultimately a pretty good ending. As much as I love the Abcurses, they did end up being a bit much – tbh, I kind of got tired and overwhelmed by them. I was almost more interested in Cyrus and Emmy. That being said, the plot really picked up and it was a good culmination of everything that these characters have gone through. It was refreshing to have Willa really come into her power.

Reviews for "Experience the Magic of Manar Hhmmet Like Never Before"
1. Debbie - 2 stars: I had high hopes for "Magic Life Manar Hhmmet" based on the reviews I read, but I was ultimately disappointed. The plot was confusing and hard to follow, with too many unnecessary subplots that didn't add anything to the story. The characters were underdeveloped and lacked depth, making it difficult to connect with any of them. Additionally, the pacing was slow, and I found myself losing interest and struggling to stay engaged. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this film to others looking for a satisfying movie experience.
2. Mike - 2 stars: "Magic Life Manar Hhmmet" had potential, but it failed to deliver. The acting was lackluster, with performances that felt forced and unnatural. The script was weak, filled with clichés and predictable plot twists. The cinematography and special effects were also subpar, making it hard to immerse myself in the story. Overall, the film felt like a missed opportunity and left me feeling disappointed.
3. Sarah - 1 star: I was utterly bored throughout "Magic Life Manar Hhmmet". The story lacked originality and felt like a rehashed version of countless other films in the same genre. The dialogue was unconvincing and filled with cheesy lines. The film tried too hard to be profound and thought-provoking, but it ended up feeling pretentious and clichéd. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this uninspired movie.
