Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi: A Guide to the Iconic Anime Series

Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi is an anime television series produced by Gainax and directed by Hiroyuki Yamaga. The series aired in Japan from April to June 2002. It follows the story of two childhood friends, Sasshi and Arumi, who find themselves transported to different alternate realities of a shopping arcade called Abenobashi in Osaka, Japan. The series takes a comedic approach to exploring different genres and parodies various aspects of pop culture throughout its 13-episode run. In each alternate reality, Sasshi and Arumi encounter different versions of themselves and the people they know, drawn from their experiences and desires. 1. John - 2/5 - I was really excited to watch "Magical shopping arcade abenobashi" because I had heard great things about it. However, I found it to be a complete mess. The storyline was all over the place and it was hard to keep track of what was happening. The characters were also very annoying and had no depth. Overall, I was disappointed and would not recommend it.

2. Sarah - 1/5 - I honestly don't understand why people like "Magical shopping arcade abenobashi." I found it to be extremely confusing and it felt like the writers were just throwing random ideas together without any thought. The animation was also not very impressive and the humor fell flat for me. I forced myself to watch the whole series hoping it would get better, but it just didn't. Save yourself the disappointment and skip this one.
