The characters lacked depth and development, making it difficult for me to connect with them on any level. The plot was also predictable, leaving me uninterested in the outcome. Additionally, the writing was mediocre at best, lacking the captivating prose I was hoping for. Overall, this book fell short of my expectations and failed to leave a lasting impression.
2. Sarah - 2.5 stars - While "The Magical Strings of Frankie Presti" had an intriguing concept, I felt like it fell flat in its execution. The pacing was uneven, making the story drag in some parts and rush through others. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, hindering my ability to fully engage with the characters. Furthermore, the magical elements introduced in the book weren't adequately explained, leaving me confused and disconnected from the story. Although there were moments of potential, the overall reading experience left much to be desired.
