Once upon a time, in a forgotten realm beyond the borders of reality, there lived a powerful witch. This witch was feared and respected by all who knew her, for her magical abilities were unmatched. She could control the elements, summon creatures from the darkest depths, and weave spells that could bend time and space. Despite her power, there was one thing that set this witch apart from all others - she had no name. This was not a mere oversight or a lack of importance, but rather a deliberate choice made by the witch herself. For you see, names hold immense power in the realm of magic.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics | Practical Magic

Femme Fatale Cosmetics's July collection is inspired by the movie 'Practical Magic' which is actually one of my favorites, I rewatch it every year, so you should guess how excited I was about these.

It's a caramel-brown jelly base packed with green-turquoise-icyblue-purple-pink shimmer flakes and tiny holo dust.

It's a clear based glitter topper with silver holo glitters in hex, bar, star and moon shapes, green-red iridescent nanoglitters and green-red shimmer flakes.

Of course, you will have to fish and probably individually place those bigger glitters, so I would suggest not to overstress this, just use a coat of it, let the brush grab what it grabs, then just add the shapes individually.

It looks amazing over a black creme, but since, I wore it over a blue shimmer too, and dare I say it wasn't ugly :D

It's a deep plum purple base with green-teal-blue-purple iridescent flakes, green-red iridescent nanoglitters and tiny holo glitters.

It's a royal blue when it's cold and it's a lighter blue when it's warm. It has green-turquoise-purple-pink shimmer flakes.

It's a cold toned purple jelly base with green-red multichrome flakes and green-red(pink) shimmer flakes.

It's a peachy-nude creme base with orange shimmer. The shimmer is magnetic, but they don't advertise this as a magnetic polish, because the effect is just not at all strong. If you have a straight nail plate (no C curve) and you can work fast, you might can get some magnetic effect out of it. I couldn't (the swatches show it withouth magnetizing it!).

Anchor and Heart Lacquer Practically Magical Collection Swatch and Review

Anyone else love the movie Practical Magic? It's a movie I enjoy year round. Not a Halloween specific one for me. The newest collection from Anchor & heart Lacquer is the Practically Magical Collection. Each of the five beauties in this collection are inspired by a comedic or heartwarming moment from the movie. She made this collection available in a pre-order this past weekend, but next Monday it will be fully released. Ready to get a look? Be prepared for your wish list to get a bit longer.

Amas Veritas is described as "a warm tan/taupe cream polish with shifting red/orange shimmer, dark red micro glitter, and UCC flakies that shift red/bronze/copper".

My Blood. Your Blood. Our Blood. is described as "an ultra chameleon red/orange cream polish that shifts violet/orange/gold".

Witch! Witch! You're a Bitch!! is described as "a fuchsia purple cream holo that shifts copper/magenta".

Witch! Witch! You're a Bitch!! is inspired by the centuries old chant sang by the town's children in ridicule of the Owens women.

One Green Eye & One Blue is described as "an ultra chrome polish with a navy base that shifts green/silver/fuchsia".

The Practically Magical Collection is beautifully put together. She took care in creating each polish to stand alone as well as mesh well with the other four polish. Whether you're a fan of the movie Practical Magic or not, it's easy to fall in love with these beauties. Each polish has a beautiful application and flawless formula. A couple were still very sheer after one coat, but after the second coat it was fully opaque.

You will be able to purchase this collection on Monday, October 24th at 9 pm EST. The bottles will range in price from $11 - $12. The colors are warm and rich and inviting. Blessing Manifesting

Today's post is a little bit different. It's fun and simple and a great way to add some good mojo to your day.

You see, I'm all about practical magic and adding little touches of magic into your daily life.

There are tons of ways to add a touch of magic into your life and one of my favorites is by painting my nails.

Yes, you heard me correctly! If you are at all interested in magic then you've probably heard about color correspondences and how each color can create a sort of atmosphere or feeling. For example you probably associate red and pink with love, green with money, yellow with happiness, blue with emotions and so on.

You can use that same kind of philosophy in painting your nails. If you're in a bad mood try painting your nails yellow, if you want to repel negativity do black, if you want to be more peaceful paint them light blue or white. See! It's as easy as that. You can also paint them using chakra color associations. Need to feel more grounded? Red. Having communication issues? Blue.

Painting each of your finger nails a different color to create a rainbow effect is an instant mood lifter, I've done it. I also love painting my nails silver in homage to the full moon and or seafoam green when I'm feeling especially in love with Aphrodite.

Here's a quick list of colors and their associations:
Red: Passion, courage, motivation
Pink: Self-love, harmony, romance
Orange: Alertness, harvest, happiness
Yellow: Creativity, intellect, communication
Green: Healing, prosperity, fertility,
Blue: Wisdom, calm, joy
Purple: Spiritual protection, wisdom, psychic powers
Black: Protection, neutralizing, grief, truth
White: Higher self, enlightenment, health

For you see, names hold immense power in the realm of magic. They can be used to control and manipulate, to bind and enchant. The witch knew this all too well, and thus decided to discard her name completely.

Without a name, the witch became a mystery to those around her. Some believed that she had abandoned her humanity and had become a force of pure magic. Others whispered that she had made a pact with ancient beings from the other side, trading her name for ultimate power. Whatever the truth may be, no one knew for sure, for the witch was a master of secrets and illusion. However, as the years went by, the witch's lack of a name began to weigh heavily on her. She realized that in giving up her name, she had given up a part of herself. The emptiness inside her grew, slowly engulfing her like a shadow. The witch became restless and searched tirelessly for a way to reclaim what she had lost. In her quest for a name, the witch traveled to distant realms and consulted with wise sages and ancient spirits. She delved into forgotten libraries and deciphered cryptic texts, hoping to find a clue that would lead her to her missing name. But as time passed, it became clear that her name had been lost to the ages, swallowed by the mists of time. Defeated and desolate, the witch returned to her humble abode, resigned to her fate. But just as she was about to give up, a strange thing happened. As if in response to her despair, the very fabric of reality seemed to shift. A small, glowing orb materialized before her, radiating with a soft, ethereal light. Intrigued and cautiously hopeful, the witch reached out and touched the orb. Instantly, a surge of energy coursed through her veins, filling her with a renewed sense of purpose. She knew in that moment that the orb was her missing name, a gift from the universe itself. With her name restored, the witch felt complete once more. She embraced her true self, no longer hiding behind the veil of secrecy. She used her newfound power not to control or manipulate, but to heal and protect. And in doing so, the witch learned that sometimes, the greatest magic of all lies not in power or knowledge, but in embracing who you truly are..
