Jack in the Box Costume

Being on a budget. you have to get creative! This costume costed me $3.65! I got the idea from an old jack in the box I saw at a thrift store and thought it'd be awesome to create one. For materials I got one large box for free from Pier 1 Imports. It wasn't the size I needed so I had to cut the box and paper mache the shape I wanted. I also paper mached the lid part and then cut a little area where my son could pop out of. The top I had painted Mattel, which is the brand they used to make on these. I decorated with polka dots as that's the material I had to make my son's costume. Each side I painted a different background color with different coordinated polka dots. The black handle actually turns very smoothly, all made of paper mache. I made a circle in the box, cut it out and wired it to the box. Inside the box I had a stool for my son and a light as well as loud "Jack in the Box" music themed playing. He popped out just in time and wobbled around like the real Jack in the Box. The costume is all sewn and made by me. I used my polka dot material and made buttons, a huge tie, extra strips for design and the hat to match. It was so cute. Lastly, I had this Jack in the Box sitting on a roller so all I had to do was pull my son around. The roller was attached to a rope. This was fun and inexpensive to make! Thanks for the consideration.

The attention to detail, such as the intricate patterns on her robes and the subtle glow of her wings, adds to the overall appeal of the skin. Furthermore, Mercy herself is a beloved character within the Overwatch community. Known for her support abilities and kind-hearted nature, she is often seen as the heart and soul of the game. The Witch Mercy skin allows players to further embody this cherished character in a unique and visually striking way. On the other hand, some argue that the Witch Mercy skin is too sexualized and objectifies the character. Critics state that the skin emphasizes Mercy's female attributes by accentuating her curves and exposing more skin than her default outfit. They argue that this goes against the inclusive and diverse nature of Overwatch, where characters are celebrated for their abilities, not their physical appearance. Blizzard, the developer of Overwatch, has received feedback on the issue and has made efforts to address concerns raised by the community. This includes introducing alternative skins that portray Mercy in different costumes and themes, allowing players to choose from a variety of options. In conclusion, the Witch Mercy skin has become a highly popular variation of the character, attracting players with its magical design and unique visual effects. While there are concerns about its potential sexualization, Blizzard has responded to the feedback by providing alternate skins and promoting inclusivity. Ultimately, players have the freedom to choose skins that resonate with them, and Witch Mercy remains a compelling and visually captivating option for many..
