Windows to the Other Side: Communicating with Spirits through Glass

By admin

One of the most intriguing and mysterious aspects of folklore and the supernatural world are witching windows and doors. These supernatural phenomena are said to occur when a window or door becomes a portal or gateway to the spirit realm. Witching windows and doors are often associated with haunted houses and locations with a dark past. It is believed that these portals can open and close suddenly, allowing spirits and ghosts to enter our world. Some people claim to have experienced strange occurrences, such as objects moving on their own or hearing eerie noises, when these portals are active. The concept of witching windows and doors can be found in various cultures and has been popularized in novels and movies.

Interaction Question: Vortex + Elemental Focus + Pandemonius?

When casting Vortex the normal interaction would be it hits ones and then the enemy can get chilled + freezed. After the hit the vortex keep rotating on the ground and chilling the enemys periodically. (correct?)

Now in combination with Elemental Focus: Vortex doesnt freeze + chill the enemy at the first Hit anymore (correct?) but the rotating vortex still chilling the enemys walking (ground chill effect)

When i now use the Pandemonius, does the first "hit" of vortex again chills the enemys and blinding them too? Or does the first hit still cannot chill but the ground vortex effect will chill, blind and penetrate 20% cold resistance?

Does the unique abillity from Pandemonius bypass the Elemental Focus effect? So it still chills or not? How it works exactly? And does the Chill effect from Pandemonius will fckup my Elemental Equilibrium or not? (my poe profile is public so u can pob me if u want to have more information on my "idea")

I think if you're hitting with Vortex alone, it might ignore Pandemonius ("can't" overrides all else rule). But if you hit with say, OoS or Storm Brand to proc EE first, then vortex, the OoS or brand is hitting enemies in range cyclically and procs the Pandemonius which chills & gives them -20 ice res when you apply vortex.

It might work fine though, I would go to PoB and see what happens when you tick the box "Enemies are chilled" to see what happens, then check in say harbour bridge to see if enemies turn silvery without any OoS or brands active.

FWIW I do see enemies freeze/shatter using my current setup (look at my character HerpeticaBold) and I do not have anything equipped which says any of my hits chill anyone. It's not 100% shatterclear but there's enough of it that along with coldsnap it reliably permafreezes and glitches malachai phases in Prim Pool/Carcass. I also use ele focus.

tl;dr I'm guessing it will work

Framing Roberto Bolaño : Poetry, Fiction, Literary History, Politics

"Introduction Unpacking Bolaño's Library Over the course of the two prodigiously productive final decades of his life and career, and with a growing sense of urgency, Roberto Bolaño developed an acute, sustained awareness that writers in all genres compete in the literary marketplace for the reader's increasingly distracted attention. That competition, which Benjamin saw Baudelaire was among the first to understand, takes place not so much within an anodyne 'World Republic'-that utopian ideal-but rather, among 'combative literatures' continually under siege, the lived reality of which may be aptly described as what Franco Moretti has called the 'slaughterhouse,' what Bolaño himself once called the 'vast minefield' ('vasto campo minado') of literature. 'A library is a metaphor,' Bolaño remarks in ''Literature Is Not Made from Words Alone'' (''La literatura no se hace solo de palabras''), 'for human beings or what's best about human beings, the same way a concentration camp can be a metaphor for what is worst about them. A library is total generosity' ('Una biblioteca es como una metafora del ser humano o de lo mejor del ser humano tal como un campo de concentracion puede ser una metafora de lo peor. La biblioteca es la generosidad total'). Within the frame of that shared understanding, this book traces the evolution of Bolaño's work and his emergence as a synecdochic, exemplary, generational figure bringing together into varied, mobile, complex constellations four pervasive and enduring, inextricably interrelated, abiding, and overriding concerns"--

Reviews for "Stepping into the Past: Incorporating Vintage Windows and Doors in Modern Witchcraft"

1. Rachel - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with "Witching windows and doors". The plot was predictable and lacked originality. I felt like I was reading a generic supernatural romance novel, with no real depth or intrigue. The characters were one-dimensional and uninteresting, and the dialogue was cheesy and forced. Overall, I found this book to be a waste of time and would not recommend it to others.
2. Mark - 1 star - "Witching windows and doors" was an absolute mess. The writing was sloppy and filled with grammatical errors, which made it difficult to even understand what was happening. The pacing was all over the place, with random plot twists that didn't make much sense. The author tried to incorporate too many different elements into the story, resulting in a confusing and disjointed narrative. I struggled to finish this book and regretted wasting my money on it.
3. Emily - 2 stars - I had high hopes for "Witching windows and doors", but it fell short of my expectations. The plot had potential, but it was poorly executed. The writing lacked finesse and the descriptive passages were overdone, making the story drag on. I also found the characters to be flat and unrelatable. The supposed twists and turns were predictable, and the ending was unsatisfying. I wish I could say I enjoyed this book, but unfortunately, it left me feeling disappointed.
