About the author

Laurelei Black is a hedge-rider, a cunning woman, and a traveler on the crooked path of the Witch. She is also a priestess of love and pleasure, an Ishtar-woman, an Aphrodite-woman. She is a friend to daemons and a mate to the Red God. A bone collector; a temple dancer. Laurelei is the author of 11 books (including Temple of Love and The Witches' Key to the Legion: A Guide to Solomonic Sorcery), a co-Director and frequent presenter at the Babalon Rising Festival, an OTO initiate, and a proud co-proprietress of Asteria Books and Events.

Laurelei began serving Aphrodite in 1999 while she was living in Los Angeles and working with with a Traditional Witchcraft coven. She became a priestess to Aphrodite within that religious tradition when she took her 2nd Degree, in 2002.

In addition to her work as a Priestess of Aphrodite, Laurelei is a Cunning Woman, a Witch of the traditional path. She and her wife, Natalie, founded the American Folkloric Witchcraft tradition, where they explore the convergence of American magic and traditional British craft. Within this realm, Laurelei's keenest interests include necromancy, bone collecting, and potion-making.

Laurelei is the author of four books devoted to Aphrodite's worship, including Cult of Aphrodite, a compilation of well-researched rituals and religious festivals in Her honor; Crown of Violets, a book of devotional poetry; Temple of Love, a historical novel depicting the poetess Sappho as an Aphrodite Priestess; and Aphrodite's Priestess, a resource book for those women who would serve the Goddess of Love.

With Natalie Black, Laurelei has also offered the Witchcraft community Liber Qayin, a channeled gospel; The Witches' Key to the Legion: A Guide to Solomonic Sorcery; and the Asteria Books' Occult & Witchcraft Learning Series (a magickal library).

Laurelei's current projects include continuing in her writing, art, and workshops in service to Aphrodite and Tubelo at festivals and other facilities, and building the Temple of Aphrodite Asteria. She lives in Indiana with her partners, Natalie and Joe Black, her children, and her parents.

What does it mean to be a witch and practice witchcraft?
You will have to discover what this means to you personally through study and practice. This class & participation in our group will help you gain a greater understanding of the craft and yourself.

A teacher can only show you the road and help you read the map but you as the student will have to do the work to find out where it leads you. No two people will experience it the same way and the truth is revealed to each witch as their souls journey dictates. What I will provide you in this class is a structured training process to help you understand the science, art and religion of witchcraft. You will also be provided with exercises, meditations and assignments that will help align you with the internal and external energies you will need to be successful on your quest.

Witchcraft is a journey to self empowerment & enlightenment. Knowledge and practice are the keys to unlocking the mysteries. You will find that the requirements of this class will provide you with a thorough base of understanding that will serve to broaden your connection with the wider world of the craft.

All that is expected of each student is that you approach each lesson with an open mind. Be aware that much of what you will learn will be building blocks for future practice of the craft so the more effort and time you put into the process the more you will benefit.
Witchcraft 101 looks at the craft through three lenses of practice:

· The Science of Witchcraft
· The Art Of Witchcraft
· The Religion or Spirituality of Witchcraft

Each week we will have lessons, printable material, homework, exercises and 1 guided meditation. You will also be adding to your Book Of Shadows each week. We will also have a book list of recommended reading that will be provided for further education.

After successfully completing 13 months of training you will earn your first key of wisdom and a certificate of completion.

You may choose to participate in a dedication ceremony at the end of this journey as a symbol of your desire to move forward on you path of witchcraft wherever it may lead you. *This is not required but is a lovely experience and a group ritual event.

1. Samantha - 2/5 stars - The Adixas Adikette Magic Lime shoes were a disappointment for me. Firstly, the lime green color was much brighter in person than it appeared online, and it was too flashy for my taste. Secondly, the fit was uncomfortable and I found the shoe to be too narrow for my feet. The materials used also felt cheap and did not offer much support. Overall, I would not recommend these shoes if you are looking for comfort and a more subtle color option.

2. Mike - 3/5 stars - Although the Adixas Adikette Magic Lime shoes have a unique and eye-catching design, I found them to be lacking in terms of quality. The stitching on the shoes started to come undone after only a few weeks of wear, which was disappointing for such a relatively expensive pair of shoes. Additionally, the cushioning and support provided by the shoes were not sufficient for prolonged use, making them uncomfortable for long walks or workouts. While they may be suitable for occasional use or as a fashion statement, I would not recommend these shoes for anyone seeking durability and comfort.
