Supplies

  • Paper plates
  • Green paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Colored cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick
  • Witch template (enter your email in the form at the end of this post to have the link sent to you)

Directions

Download the witch template, print, and cut out the pieces.

Begin by painting the paper plate with a thin coat of paint and let it dry completely.

Place the witch face template on the dry paper plate, trace, and cut out. Set aside for later.

Make the witch’s hat by gluing the hat band in the middle of the hat, then trim off the excess paper that hangs over it.

Glue the witch’s hair to the back of the witch’s hat, one piece on each side.

Take the hat and hair combo and glue it to the top of the witch’s head you set aside earlier.

Glue the eyes an inch or so below the hat, in the middle of the face.

Use the black marker to draw on eyebrows, a small nose, and a big smile!

This paper plate craft is perfect for Halloween classroom party craft or for storytime.

You can make it even simpler by using green paper plates. This way you skip the painting and go straight to the crafting part.
