The Montana Grizzlies mascot is a symbol of pride and strength for the University of Montana. The mascot, which is a grizzly bear, represents the spirit of the team and the fierce determination of its athletes. With its intimidating presence and imposing stature, the Montana Grizzlies mascot has become a beloved figure in the university community. The origins of the Montana Grizzlies mascot can be traced back to the early 1900s when the university adopted the grizzly bear as its official symbol. The choice of the grizzly bear was influenced by the fact that grizzly bears are native to Montana and are known for their strength and resilience. It was believed that the grizzly bear perfectly embodied the qualities of the university's athletes and would serve as a powerful symbol for the team.

There are also two side-quests involving King Bay Leaf, only found in the inner woods - these are A Taste to be Acquired, and A Fabled Dram.

It is possible to jump to the ledge leading to the Witchwood from Seabreeze Trail, depending on vocation - however each method is tricky and may result in multiple failures. Witchwood

The Witchwood's not far from Cassardis, and for years the mysterious witch herself would come to the village, offering healing potions and other concoctions. I myself remember taking the medicines she conjured when I was but a minnow. But one day, the forest became shrouded in a thick, impenetrable mist. Mayhap the witch conjured it as payback for some slight, but all we Cassardis know is that no one saw her again. No doubt the truth still resides somewhere within those misty woods. But considering how many people have disappeared there, few have the courage to brave its strange mystery.

The west entrance (map)

A mysterious forest covered in a thick fog. The Witchwood is located east of The Ruins of Aernst Castle and the Vestad Hills, and south of The Encampment and the Seabreeze Trail - it is on a peninsula at the southeast of Gransys.

Near its deepest depths is a giant and ancient tree on which has been built a tree house-- the Witch's House, which is hidden or protected by the thick mist in the forest. This fog can be lifted by destroying Fog Talismans found scattered throughout the wood. There are seven fog talismans in total; three in the main wood, and a further four in the far reaches of the wood beyond the Witch's House.

The far reaches of the Witchwood are only accessible from a passage leading through the bowels of the giant tree on which the Witch house was built. The passage is blocked by an inanimate Golem until completion of the quest Witch Hunt. At the far end of this second area is found the tomb of a former Arisen, known as the Guardian's Grave.

Main woods [ ]

Common plants in the woods are Chaffstem, Southron Oregano, Greenwarish and Potent Greenwarish. The woods are home to rabbits, crows, and boar as well as spiders, wolves and goblins. At night phantoms appear. The forest river may yield fish, including Giant Fish.

The northern edge of the forest has several hanging boulders; though these rarely form rockfalls unless struck by arrows, at times they can be heard rumbling.

During the quest In Aid of the Emerald King I the main Witchwood area will contain Goblin Shaman.

Witch's House [ ]

Main article: Witch's House.

The Witch's House is built in the arms of a huge tree next to a clearing in the woods, which receives more light than much of the wood and remains fog free. Several inanimate Golems rest here. There are paths from the clearing leading to Seabreeze Trail, into the woods, and under and through the giant tree into the inner woods.

Inner woods [ ]

The inner woods (beyond the wooden door, under the Witch's house) cannot be accessed unless the Arisen has come to Selene's aid during the quest Witch Hunt, during which she will unlock the door under the giant tree.

In Dark Arisen, a Portcrystal can be found inside the tunnel just past the wooden door leading into the inner area of the Witchwood.

The Guardian's Grave is the only location in which the King Bay Leaf may be found, re-spawning three at a time, every 7 in-game days.

Wild boar and Skeleton Warriors can be found here, with the river below containing a Golem and a sleeping Metal Golem.

1. Samantha - 2/5 stars - I was really disappointed with the Montana Grizzlies mascot. It lacked the energy and excitement that I expected from a mascot at a college football game. The costume looked old and worn-out, and the person inside didn't seem to put much effort into engaging with the crowd. Overall, it was a forgettable experience, and I wouldn't recommend watching a game just for the mascot.
2. John - 3/5 stars - The Montana Grizzlies mascot was just average. It didn't bring anything special to the game, and I found it quite predictable. The costume design was outdated, and the performer inside didn't have the same enthusiasm as some other mascots I've seen. While it didn't ruin my experience, I was hoping for something more entertaining and memorable.

The performer inside lacked any sort of energy or enthusiasm, and the costume looked cheap and poorly made. It was a big letdown, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time watching this mascot at a game.
5. Rachel - 2/5 stars - The Montana Grizzlies mascot was a huge disappointment. It lacked any sort of originality or creativity, and it felt like I've seen this same mascot at a dozen other sporting events. Overall, it was a forgettable experience, and I wouldn't recommend paying much attention to the mascot during a game.
