Well, this was a nice surprise, Niddrie is a different world from the hustle and bustle of Festive Aulde Reekie. From the peace and tranquillity of good old Niddrie Mill and the two miles of the Innocent Railway Path I walked as I got into town, there was a tangible buzz in the air. I skipped across The Meadows and headed up middle meadow walk, It was really busy, the silent disco massive were making their way down singing to the collect tunes on their headphones, I had a quick gander in The Underbelly and a quick scout around Assembly. Both are housed in George Square Gardens. I was looking for the venue in which my “Adults Only Magic Show Cherry” would be popped.

Two young Magicians who are truly gifted talented performance artists who came together after meeting at The Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2012 and began creating quality theatre together. I was explaining how this was a choice pick based on how many amazing reviews The 18 Plus Magic Show had achieved from delighted audiences, Indeed the small theatre was packed to the rafters.

Adults Only Magic Show

My uncle was a magician, and I remember him taking me, when young, to the magicians’ secret club, which was (and maybe still is) in an underground clubroom in the western suburbs of Adelaide.

While he never disclosed the secrets of his trade, he did instil a love of magic that has remained with me ever since.

In Adults Only Magic Show, Sam and Justin present sixty minutes of adult humour, sleight-of-hand, illusions, mentalism, and a chance of nudity. It all happens later in the evening and is extremely well done!

They have been working together for ten years and it shows. Their act has the feeling of two performers who perform as one; the sense that they have 'got each other’s backs', even if things don’t turn out as expected.

We are warned there will be audience participation. Sit wherever you like, there is no seat safe from these boys. Sam and Justin will seek and find you, wherever you are. However, each 'volunteer' is rewarded with a drinks card for their efforts.

The first act involving an audience member involves taking his phone and placing it inside a paper bag, along with three other identical bags, into which are placed blocks of wood the same size, shape, and weight as a standard phone. The bags are then shuffled, and the ill-fated audience member is asked to guess which bag her phone is NOT in - and then that bag is smashed. This happens until there was just one bag left and then - you will have to see the show to discover the result.

Sam and Justin are also masters of escapology. They attempt to escape from ropes and a straitjacket, getting themselves into some unusual positions before their final reveal.

I have seen a lot of card tricks, but Sam’s, which are shown on a large screen, are mystifying. There is also a 'locked box' reveal about what Justin’s ultimate date would look like, involving messages from audience members mysteriously ending up in sealed locations. I could hear audience members saying “How. ” and I must admit, I couldn’t work it out either. This is a measure of the quality of their magic.

There was an illusion that didn’t go as planned. However, Sam and Justin took it in their stride and moved on.

Adults Only Magic Show is an hour of mystery, magic mirth and just a touch of titillation to add to the fun!

Reviews for "Teaching Art to Kids with Narrow Magic Markers: Fun and Educational Projects"

1. John - 1/5 - I was extremely disappointed with these narrow magic markers. The colors were dull and faded, making my artwork look lackluster. Additionally, the markers dried out within a few uses, which is highly unacceptable for a product of this price range. I would not recommend these markers to anyone looking for quality and longevity.
2. Sarah - 2/5 - I found the narrow magic markers to be quite average. The color range was limited and the ink seemed to bleed on most surfaces, making it difficult to achieve precise and clean lines. While the markers were decent for casual use, they did not meet my expectations for professional or detailed artwork. Overall, I would opt for a different brand of markers for better results.
3. Mike - 2/5 - These narrow magic markers were a letdown for me. The colors were not as vibrant as I anticipated, and they did not blend well either. I found them to be quite scratchy on the paper, which made it challenging to achieve smooth strokes. Considering the price, I expected better quality and performance. I won't be purchasing these markers again.
4. Emily - 3/5 - I had mixed feelings about the narrow magic markers. While they did offer a decent color selection, the ink seemed to run out fairly quickly, especially when compared to other markers I've used. The fine tips were also prone to fraying, which affected the overall precision and accuracy of my drawings. These markers may work for occasional use, but I wouldn't recommend them for serious artwork or projects.
5. David - 2/5 - I was unimpressed with the narrow magic markers. The colors appeared faded and washed out, even on quality paper. The ink also had a strong chemical scent that was quite off-putting. On top of that, the markers dried out within a short period of time, making them essentially useless. I was hoping for better color payoff and longevity, but unfortunately, these markers fell short of my expectations.
