Surf Curse is an American indie rock band that formed in Reno, Nevada in 2013. The band is composed of Nick Rattigan and Jacob Rubeck. Known for their catchy, lo-fi sound and introspective lyrics, Surf Curse has developed a devoted following over the years. One of the band's most popular releases is their album "Raven," which was released in 2017. The album features the hit song "All is Lost," which has become a fan favorite. In addition to "Raven," Surf Curse has released several other albums, including "Buds" and "Nothing Yet.

The ticket system is messed up and causing confusion.

During the Bar Rescue makeover, Jon Taffer decided to change the name of Cerealholic Cafe Bar to The Loft Elevated Bar Food and the bar has kept the name. The Loft in Ybor City, Florida which appeared on season 8 (2nd set) of Bar Rescue has closed. The bar closed at the end of August 2022, which was just about three months after appearing on the show. The Loft posted the following message on their Facebook page to announce their closure:

"As many of our Cerealholic and Loft family and friends know, we are a family owned and operated business. We have had our struggles and great achievements. Our time in this community has been the most honored feelings for all of us. Given we are a family business, we have had some family issues that require full attention. This is a very difficult decision, which we have contemplated and reviewed for some time now. With a very heavy heart, we have decided to move on from our wonderful, amazing business. We took painstaking measures to ensure we find a business to take over our place in this community and honor the rich history and community we have become to be a part of. We have the deepest gratitude to all of our followers and fans. You have enabled us to move on with amazing support. So many of you have become like family and we (I) will always be grateful and miss all of you so much. As I review all of the pictures, events, posts, etc, it becomes clear how much it will be very difficult to move on. However, our family is first and foremost to us. We have some great events for the rest of August. We will be closing out August and turn our vision over to the new business. In addition we resume our posted hours for the final month. Please come by and see us. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime. XOXO"

They did find another business to take over the space and a new bar called SpookEasy Lounge is operating there. SpookEasy Lounge has also taken over The Loft Facebook page.

The Loft was originally named Cerealholic Cafe & Bar until Bar Rescue came and did the makeover. The Bar Rescue makeover to turn Cerealholic Cafe into The Loft happened in February 2022 and aired on TV in May 2022 (here is the update for that episode). Cerealholic Cafe & Bar opened in early 2021, so the bar didn't last a full 2 years and closed just three months after appearing on the show. The Loft has been marked as 'Closed' on the Bar Rescue Updates Page.

Jon explains the bar is cluttered with items that the young crowd of the area do not relate to.

Reviews for "The Story Behind Surf Curse Allies Vinyl: From Concept to Creation"

1. Jane Doe - 2/5
I was really disappointed with the Surf Curse Allies Vinyl. The sound quality was subpar, with a lot of crackling and distortion throughout the record. Additionally, the vinyl itself was poorly made, with visible scratches and warping. The overall packaging was lackluster as well, with no insert or booklet included. I expected a much better product for the price I paid.
2. John Smith - 1/5
I regret purchasing the Surf Curse Allies Vinyl. The pressing was terrible, resulting in a lot of skipping and jumping. It ruined the listening experience and made it impossible to enjoy the music. I tried cleaning the record and adjusting the player but the problem persisted. This vinyl was a waste of money and I would not recommend it to anyone.
3. Sarah Thompson - 2/5
I had high hopes for the Surf Curse Allies Vinyl, but unfortunately, it fell short. The album itself is great, but the pressing was disappointing. There were several parts where the sound dropped out or became muffled, which really took away from the overall enjoyment of the music. It's a shame because I was looking forward to adding this album to my collection, but the quality just isn't up to par.
4. Michael Johnson - 2/5
I was really excited to receive the Surf Curse Allies Vinyl, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The packaging was flimsy and arrived with a corner all bent and dented. The vinyl itself had visible scuffs and scratches, which affected the playback. It's frustrating to spend money on a product that arrives in such poor condition. I won't be purchasing vinyl from this band again.
5. Emily Davis - 3/5
While I enjoyed the music on the Surf Curse Allies Vinyl, I was disappointed with the overall quality. The vinyl felt thin and prone to warping, and the sound quality was average at best. There were occasional pops and crackles, which detracted from the listening experience. It's an okay vinyl for casual fans, but serious collectors might want to look elsewhere for a better pressing.
