Paranormal romances are generally my least favourite subgenre, but this book had three things I ve always loved Nora Roberts, Ireland, and a strong cast. I also really enjoyed the fact then when Boyle and Iona hit a speed bump and it s a pretty legit one, for a change , they handle it in a mature and realistic manner.
It is during this time that she meets Matthias von Schneider, a talented wizard who is gravely injured. Alice nurses him back to health using her knowledge of herbs, and in return, Matthias offers to teach her magic in gratitude. Despite being a beginner, Alice's natural talent for magic quickly becomes evident, and she becomes a formidable mage in her own right.
